Punt-Return Touchdown by Maurice Alexander

In one of the North Division Championship games in Canton, the Generals were locked in a tense playoff battle against the Stars. KaVontae Turpin, the league MVP, then dashed 78 yards for a punt-return touchdown. This move placed the Generals ahead with a 14-10 scoreline. Even though there were over 10 minutes left, Turpin seemed to have broken the Stars’ hearts.

When there were only 4 minutes left for the game to end, the Stars were still trailing 14-13. Case Cookus was ready for a final drive but realized Maurice Alexander was already making a sprint. Cookus allowed Maurice to make the 87-yard sprint to accomplish the punt-return touchdown. This was a huge moment in the playoff as Maurice acted to cancel out the amazing play by Turpin.

46-yard Interception Return by Scooby Wright in USFL Championship Game
