Merry Christmas: Former Gamblers Long Snapper Tucker Addington Joins Washington Commanders

Tucker Addington is getting an early Christmas present this year. After finding himself working out for multiple NFL teams after his recent stint with Jaguars in August the former Gamblers Long Snapper has earned a Three game cameo to see once again if belongs in the league.

Addington was added to the Commanders Practice Squad after the team released Camaron Cheeseman after last weeks game. Addington since leaving the USFL has had stints with the Cowboys, Jaguars, in addition to his three-game audition last season with the New England Patriots. Addington took over for Joe Cardona due to injury and took part in 24 Special Teams Snaps with New England last season.

Addington now joins Domenique Davis, KaVontae Turpin, Mitch Fraboni, Micah Abernathy, Tae Hayes, Maurice Alexander, Alex Akingbulu, and Jeremiah Pharms as players from the 2022 USFL class to remain in the NFL in 2023. Over Two years since the USFL’s return the league has helped over 100 players earn NFL opportunities. With the USFL-XFL set to merge it appears spring football will still be around in an effort to give players a chance to prove themselves for years on end.
