Showboats Sign Former Buccaneer OT Sadarius Hutcherson

The Showboats were active for the second straight day in free agency this week. A day after signing former Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Jon’Vea Johnson, the Showboats signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Sadarius Hutcherson, an Offensive Lineman from South Carolina.

Hutcherson was a three-star defensive lineman coming out of High School, before committing to South Carolina. He’d start 37 games in his college career earning All-Conference honors, while earning several academic accolades in college. After going undrafted in 2021, Hutherson would sign with the Buccaneers but would tear his ACL in the team’s first preseason game, subsequently getting placed on injured reserve and later waived. Now healthy Hutherson finally gets an opportunity to participate in professional football, with hopes of returning to the NFL.

For the Showboats, they add an Offensive Lineman looking to prove himself at the next level. Hutcherson, who at 6’4, 315 boasts NFL level size for a unit that saw Jordan Ta’amu running for his life in 2022. The Showboats who are currently at 63 players going into training camp, return three players to their 2023 squad including All-USFL tackle Jarron Jones. With the Showboats now adding Cole Kelley and Ryan Willis to their Quarterback room, the new look offensive should make the twice as competitive for a team that just missed the playoffs in 2022.
