The Grim Reaver: Greg Reaves Returns to Showboats in 2024

Amid several USFL players transitioning to the NFL the Showboats made a transition to continue strengthening their front Seven. The Showboats drafted Reaves in the 30th round of the 2022 USFL Draft, and look to bring back the South Florida LB for his 3rd season in the USFL.

Reaves came to the USFL after spending Five seasons at the University of South Florida. After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Reaves was signed by the LA Rams before being released in August of 2020. After playing in Brian Woods’ Spring League with the Sea Lions, Reaves would spend 2022 and 2023 with the Bandits/Showboats before resigning for the 2024 season. Reaves totaled 70 Tackles, 7.5 Sacks, and 2 Interceptions, in his USFL career and looks to be a major contributor for the 2024 season moving forward.

Per Fox Sports, the Showboats roster now sits at 60 players moving forward into the USFL offseason. As players continue to sign with NFL teams, look for the Showboats to continue to reconfigure their roster in hopes of making a playoff push in 2024, under Head Coach Todd Haley.
