Two Michigan Panthers Workout For Seahawks, USFL Players Continue To Fill NFL Rosters

The USFL has been on fire recently signing 35 players to NFL contracts since the season has ended. With preseason well on its way it’s only inevitable that more USFL players will continue to transition from the USFL to the NFL. This week two Michigan Panthers players, Reggie Corbin and Jameson Houston will be working out for the Seattle Seahawks in hopes of taking their professional careers to the next level.

Corbin was an ALL-USFL running back who also earned player of the week honors. Corbin’s dynamic rushing style helped lead the Panthers rushing unit to a top 4 spot in the USFL.  Corbin would end the season with 516 rushing yards and 2 TDs.

Jameson Houston was a stalwart for the Panthers on a defensive backfield that overachieved in 2022. The former Baylor Bear has spent time with the Jags and Eagles while working out for the Patriots before joining the USFL . Now Houston hopes to join his third NFL team after garnering 45 tackles and 2 INTs in 2022.

The panthers so far have lost 3 players to the NFL and could be expected to lose more. While they have made some moves to combat their recent barrage of losses, it looks to be an extremely difficult task to replace players like Ishmael Hyman, Tino Ellis, and Lance Lenoir. Losing Reggie Corbin, and Jameson Houston will only make the 2023 season a bit more interesting for the Michigan Panthers.
