Up to Buffalo: DeShaun White Earns an Opportunity with Buffalo Bills

Two days after the announcement of D.J. Montgomery joining the Indianapolis Colts, the 10th Panther was released from Michigan’s roster in order to pursue their NFL dream. DeShaun White out of Oklahoma and the Panthers 5th round draft pick in the 2023 USFL Draft, was signed by the Buffalo Bills and will be joining the team for the remainder of training camp.

White was a tackling machine at Oklahoma totaling 248 stops in 5 seasons. White would join Michigan in the middle of the season serving as a reserve Linebacker for Coach Runza’s unit. White would total Seven Tackles in his limited role with Michigan, which seemed to be enough to generate NFL interest ultimately leading to his contract with the Bills.

Currently the Panthers have 50 players on their roster as the team progresses in the offseason. With NFL teams currently looking to the USFL to supplement injuries during training camp, it appears rosters across the league will continue to change as week 1 of the NFL season gets closer.
