Valoaga Returns: UNLV Alum Returns for 3rd USFL Season

The Showboats are bringing back one of their more consistent players from the 2023 season. Jeremiah Valoaga returns for his 3rd USFL Season after bouncing around the NFL from 2017 to 2021.

Valoaga was a late addition to the Showboats (then Bandits) in 2022 signing with the team on June 10th, only to be activated during the team’s final game. In 2023 Valoaga totaling 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks for Memphis during his first full season with the team. Valoaga who began his pro career in 2017, has played with 5 NFL teams appearing in 13 games totaling 7 tackles, and 1.0 sack from 2017 to 2021.

After the NFL signing of Nehemiah Shelton, the Showboats roster remains at 58 players. With Valoaga returning from injury the UNLV product is primed to continue to provide veteran leadership for a young Showboats team. With Memphis finishing 2023 5-5, bringing back key pieces like Valoaga should provide enough steam for the Showboats who look to make a playoff push for 2024.
