3-Peat Inbound? Birmingham Stallions Announce Return of All-USFL TE Jace Sternberger

After his training camp cameo with the Bills Jace Sternberger is back with the Birmingham Stallions. The team announced Monday evening that the Texas A&M product would be returning back to the USFL, joining Thaddeus Moss as the Two Tight Ends on the roster.

Sternberger was an instant upgrade in the Stallions TE room, nearly doubling the output of Cary Angeline and Sage Surratt in 2022. Sternberger himself had secured 7 TDs along with 33 receptions for 517 yards setting the standard for the league’s TE play in 2023. Along with Sternberger Thaddeus Moss and La’Michael Pettway also combined for 11 receptions, 137 yards and 3 TDs, making the Stallions TE room easily the most effective combination in the USFL.

With Sternberger set to return supplemented by Thaddeus Moss, the Stallions sure up a position of need going into 2024. While Birmingham did manage to secure a “star” WR in Victor Bolden the Stallions skill positions may have taken a step back so far this offseason. One thing is certain with Sternberger back in the fold QB1 J’Mar Smith should be feeling a lot better about a Stallions 3-peat next season.
