Birmingham’s offense was led by quarterbacks J Smith and McGough, who combined for 228 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. J Smith completed 10 of 15 passes for 160 yards, with one touchdown and one interception, while McGough went 7 for 11, throwing for 68 yards and a touchdown. McGough also showcased his rushing ability, gaining 51 yards on six attempts and scoring a touchdown on the ground.

The Stallions’ receivers were effective as well, with Sternberger catching five passes for 62 yards and a touchdown, and Watkins making a highlight reel-worthy 61-yard touchdown reception. On the ground, Marable contributed with 24 rushing yards on nine attempts.

Defensively, the Stallions were relentless, recording two sacks and recovering two fumbles. McFarland led the charge with 12 tackles, seven of which were solo efforts. Tillman contributed with five tackles and two pass deflections, while Jackson recorded a sack and a forced fumble.

For the Generals, quarterback Prukop went 13 for 17, passing for 148 yards and rushing for a touchdown. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to overcome the Stallions’ strong defense. The Generals’ running back Victor had a solid game, rushing for 84 yards on eight carries, but the team failed to find the end zone in the second half.

On the defensive side, Orr led the Generals with eight tackles, two tackles for loss, while Daniel secured an interception and a pass deflection. However, the Generals’ defense was unable to force any turnovers or record any sacks.

With this victory, the Birmingham Stallions continue to assert themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the USFL, while the New Jersey Generals will need to regroup and address their offensive struggles if they hope to turn their season around.

was at stallions first game last night and the atmosphere was terrific! the attendance was way up over any game last year and the fanfare was excellent… I hope the other host cities pull this off because this league needs to stick around. all the logos and team colors are awesome and the ticket prices are super affordable… please support the USFL and help make this league last. there was so much to do outside the stadium as well as inside the stadium for kids to folks of all ages… my kids are begging to come back to more stallions games and I’m excited to get them there… go stallions go USFL!!!

So happy to learn you had that experience. I was the kid that my stepfather got me season tickets to the Generals. All these years later and a fan again. My stepfather is much older now, but last season I watched the Generals on TV against the Bandits, when I visited him in Florida. Looking forward to seeing the Generals in New Jersey if and when they ever get a stadium. I hope you and your family have similar experiences that you had last night and more long term ones like I had with my step father.
