QB For The Philadelphia Stars, Bryan Scott, Out Indefinitely With Injury

The long awaited return of the USFL league doesn’t seem to be going all that well for the Philadelphia Stars. In fact, it seems to be going from bad to worse, as the latest news suggests that QB Bryan Scott will now be out indefinitely because of the knee injury he suffered during the game against the New Jersey Generals last Sunday.

Philadelphia, who were the favorites going into the game, ended up losing said game 24 to 16.

Scott released a statement on Twitter, letting the fans know that he would be sitting out for the foreseeable future, although many have now speculated that he will be out indefinitely; this was specifically stated in a report on Twitter by Sebastian Fearon, a doctor of physical therapy.

Dr. Fearon made the following statement on social media:

“Starting QB Bryan Scott is OUT indefinitely with a knee…injury…Scott was leading the league in both passing yards & TDs before injury last week…He suffered a non-contact knee injury in Week 3 that kept him out all 2nd half…”

Yes he was definitely having quite the season before the injury took place, as Dr. Fearon stated…leading both in passing yards and touchdowns. It was only a little while ago that he was hopeful for the season, making these statements while speaking to NBC:

“Love is way more stronger than hate and I play for the people that love me…I play for the people that wanna see me go out there and see me throw five touchdowns and lead a game winning drive. …

When I step on the field, I’m going to prove them right, not the people waiting to see me do something wrong. For me, it’s really an easy choice…No matter what, I would rather live like that than live the other way.”

After the injury took place in Sunday’s game, backup QB, Case Cookus, did lead the team to a 16 to 10 lead over the Generals for a point, but obviously by game’s end it would ultimately end in favor of the Generals. And that’s no knock on Case Cookus, as he did his very best. Hopefully he can shine in Friday’s game and hopefully the team can find the groove necessary to pull off a win that the team is in dire need for at this early point in the season.

It’s definitely a big hit to the team that has already lost two games so far this season. This week, they’re slated to go up against the Michigan Panthers this Friday at 10 PM EDT.
