Stallions Add LB Travin Howard, Release TE Thad Moss

The Stallions got busy this weekend moving some pieces around for the 2024 season. GM Zach Potter added some Linebacker depth, while releasing a fan favorite and son of NFL Hall of Famer Thad Moss. The Stallions continue to retool their roster in hopes of making another championship run for the 2024 “merged” season.

Howard comes to the Stallions after recently getting released by the Buffalo Bills during 2023 NFL training camp. The TCU alum had previously spent parts of Five seasons with the LA Rams earning a Super Bowl ring with the team in 2021. Howard has appeared in 29 games in his NFL career, including appearing in 4 playoff games for the Rams in 2021.

In a corresponding move the Stallions now release Thad Moss who spent 2023 with the team. Recently, Birmingham had re-signed Jace Sternberger and La’Michael Pettway to ensure the position with the vacancy of Moss. Moss was a UDFA in 2020 spending time with the Bengals and Commanders on their practice squad. In 2023 Moss recorded 3 receptions for 38 yards and 1 Touchdown Reception over 8 games for Birmingham.

Going into the “merger” the Stallions roster 55 players per fox sports. Birmingham has spent the last two years dominating the USFL winning back-to-back championships under HC Skip Holtz. For more insight on the merger check out my reaction video below!
