Stallions Make It Official, Bring Back DT Willie Henry

The Stallions have knocked the offseason out of the park, by not only signing NFL caliber players but retaining several key pieces from their 2022 championship season. On Friday the Stallions brought back Defensive Tackle Willie Henry to continue bolstering their Defensive Line for 2023.

Henry was a 4th round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to the Baltimore Ravens out of Michigan. Henry would spend 2016 to 2021 appearing in 18 games starting 3 games for the Ravens in 2017. Henry totaled 36 tackles, 4.5 sacks, recovering 1 fumble for 16 yards in his NFL Career. After getting released from the Giants in 2021, Henry was signed by the Birmingham Stallions in late April, becoming an instant contributor for the Stallions. In 2022 Henry totaled 15 Tackles and One Sack, in his first season in Alt-Football.

The return of Henry coupled with the returning Seven Defensive Linemen from the 2022 season, sets the Stallions up for another dominate season in 2023. With Henry the Stallions retain another NFL Caliber player who now has a full offseason with the team rather than being signed a couple weeks into the USFL season. Currently the Stallions have 61 players now on their roster going into training camp.
