For their Week 5 matchup, the Birmingham Stallions (4-0) will take on the Philadelphia Stars (2-2) on Sunday, May 15th at 10:00 AM MDT on NBC.
The Stallions will look to extend their undefeated streak to 5 and reignite their offense. They are indeed the team to beat in the USFL, and the Stars will look to get in the W column again after losing star QB Bryan Scott to injury. The stakes are high for both teams, as the Stallions want to stay perfect, and the Stars want to walk into next week with a winning record.

Players To Watch
While the return of J’Mar Smith is certainly exciting, I can’t wait to watch Bo Scarbrough make his USFL debut this week for the Stallions. The former Alabama standout made an impact with the Lions in the NFL, and is a huge back at 6’1″ 235.
In Philly, all eyes will be on Case Cookus. Last week he led the Stars to a 26-25 victory over the Michigan Panthers. He was 22/30 passing for 190 yards, 2 TD’s and a pick with 35 yards on the ground as well. Can he grow in his second start? They’re sure hoping so.

Birmingham Stallions – Philadelphia Stars Prediction
While the Stars are a deeply talented team, I expect the Stallions to continue their streak this Sunday. With a rejuvenated offense led by their returning starting QB and a big new RB, I think they’ll start to really hit their stride this week.
The big kicker here is the fact that they are excelling in all 3 phases of the game, and its going to be hard for the Stars to unseat them.
