Jeff Badet isn’t a stranger to Spring Football or the XFL for that matter and per XFL Analyst will be making another attempt to return to Football at a professional level. Badet the former Michigan Panther has recently been invited to be a part of the XFL draft pool. Badet is one of two Panthers vying to make the jump to the XFL upon their release from the USFL.
Badet was an UDFA free agent in the 2018 NFL draft, he would go play on and off the Vikings practice squad before joining the Dallas Renegades in 2020 after being drafted as the 4th Overall pick in the 2020 XFL draft. Badet would record 16 receptions for 108 yards for the Renegades where he used that success to secure a contract with the Washington Football Team. Badet’s time with WFT though brief allowed him to make his NFL debut in which he would play in 3 games. After being waived by the WFT, Badet would have short stints with the Falcons and Raiders before ultimately joining the USFL.
Badet’s time in the USFL was extremely underwhelming. Initially expected to be a top contributor the 15th round pick, couldn’t get on the field. Badet was limited to one game in which he had 1 reception for 12 yards and would be released May 9th. While Badet fought injuries in 2022 during the USFL season, it would not be surprising for Badet to be viewed as a top wide-out for the 2023 XFL class.
DeMoor’s career to this point has been less traveled and accomplished than Badet’s. After going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, DeMoor Bounced around between the CFL, and the Spring League before being drafted in the 4th round in the USFL draft. DeMoor would never find success in the USFL, as he would be more known for his name plate, TV appearances, Tik-Toks, and side-line fights than his play on the field. DeMoor, would be released after four games with the Panthers only recording 3 tackles and no sacks.
DeMoor would be released May 9th as well and seems to continue to have football aspirations. Most recently working out in California for a HUB workout. DeMoor who despite being a part of the XFL 2.0 draft pool went undrafted could be on his last leg of continuing his professional career.
