Panthers Add Two Bringing Roster to 58 Before Training Camp

The Panthers made two additions less than two weeks before training camp. The Panthers bolstered Coach Runza’s Linebacker room by adding Treshaun Hayward out of Arizona/W.Michigan and NFL Veteran Noah Dawkins out of the Citadel. The addition brings the Panthers roster to 58 according to the USFL’s roster on Fox Sports, as players report March 16th.

Hayward joins the Panthers after spending five seasons at Arizona and Western Michigan. Hayward started 24 games in college totaling 271 tackles, and 5.0 sacks in his collegiate career. Hayward is now being granted his first professional contract after going undrafted in 2022.

The more notable signing for the Panthers was bringing in Noah Dawkins from the Citadel. Dawkins joins Coach Runza’s Linebacker room after being released by the Chicago Bears in August of 2022. Dawkins has been with four NFL teams since coming out of college as an UDFA in 2019. Dawkins has appeared in 17 NFL games in his career totaling 3 tackles and earning $928,671 in his NFL career.

The addition of Noah Dawkins and Treshaun Heyward add more defensive weapons for their dynamic Linebacker room. With players beginning to take the field March 20th, Panthers fans will find out if the late additions to the Michigan roster will be ready to join a team, looking to improve from their 2-8 2022.
