Panthers Sign FCS Standout Phil Saleh out of Fordham University

After bringing back Keith Williams and Joshua Dunlop to reinforce the Offensive Line, the Panthers dove deep into the Patriot League to find a potential star at the FCS level. The Panthers signed Illinois Native Phil Saleh out of Fordham University for his second professional opportunity.

Saleh comes to Michigan after a quick stint in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders for about a month. Prior to the CFL Saleh, he played 42 games in five seasons at Fordham University (2018-22) playing Center, Left Tackle and Right Tackle. Saleh earned First-Team All-Patriot League offensive lineman (2020-22) and earned Second-Team honors in 2019. He was also named to Phil Steele’s All-American Team in 2022 as well.

With the addition of Saleh the Panthers gain a versatile Offensive Lineman who can supplement the team’s veterans going into 2024. With the roster currently at 56 players look for Mike Nolan and Stever Kazor to do a bit more re-tooling as the off-season progresses. With Panthers players receiving workouts everyday the 2024 team may have a different look than it’s predecessor in the next couple months.
