While the Michigan Panthers have begun the offseason, seeing three players join NFL teams, and resigning several players from their 2023 team, another Panthers player is also having an eventful offseason. Panthers Quarterback Carson Strong has been confirmed to joining his old college coach Jay Norvell at Colorado State as a volunteer assistant coach going forward into the 2023 season.

Strong was my #5 QB, coming into the 2023 USFL season. After stints with Eagles and Cardinals, Strong signed with the Panthers on March 18th joining Josh Love and Eric Barriere in the Panthers QB room. In 2023, Strong split time with Josh Love throwing for 266 Yards 1 TD and 2 INTs. On May 16th, Strong was placed on the Panthers Injured Reserve list ending his season.
While many may speculate Strong’s time with Michigan could be over, it’s not out of the question for the former Nevada QB to “double dip” in the USFL and the collegiate ranks. Showboats QB Brady White was a GA with the Memphis Tigers during the fall of 2022, only to become the starting QB for the beginning of 2023. With the Panthers QB’s like Josh Love garnering NFL interest, it’s a huge possibility for Strong to be back in the Royal Plum and Champagne Silver come 2024.
