Spring football is in full swing, ladies and gentlemen. As the NFL’s season has come to a close, and the XFL is set to begin playing this weekend. The USFL also has news to share with us all; there will be a college draft.
The league will be hosting its college draft on Tuesday, with 10 rounds and 80 selections set to be made. There will be around 3,000 players eligible for this draft, although some may not play this season, this draft is focused on players’ rights.
I would expect that the players that will be focused on will be the ones who aren’t quite destined for the NFL. Some may be selected as undrafted free agents, but are unlikely to make a day-one impact.
So don’t expect the Michigan Lakehawks to take Alabama quarterback Bryce Young with their first overall pick. He’s destined for a career in the NFL. Expect more players from Division II and III schools or the backups of Division I.
The Draft Order is set to be as followed:
The draft kicks off at 1 PM EST on Tuesday and we’ll be sure to have you covered for who goes where, and what you can expect out of these college players when they arrive to the USFL. So stay close, and keep your eyes open!
