USFL in Review: Tae Hayes and Mitch Fraboni Make 2022 NFL Debuts

Week 6 has come and more USFL alumni have made the transition from the bench to the playing field. Mitch Fraboni and Tae Hayes both made their 2022 NFL debuts for the Broncos and Panthers respectively, joining the Cowboys KaVontae Turpin who continues to make an impact on the special teams unit.

For Fraboni this was his NFL debut as the Long Snapper has finally broken through to the NFL after years of workouts, Alt-Leagues, and invites. Fraboni played in eleven snaps for the Broncos and even recorded a tackle in his NFL debut. Tae Hayes has had a bit more of a linear path to the NFL. A UDFA out of App State in 2019 Hayes has played in seven NFL games, since coming into the league. Hayes has spent time with five NFL franchises and the champion Birmingham Stallions prior to 2022. In Week 6 Hayes played in 21 snaps (17 Def, 4 Special teams) and recorded a tackle.

In addition to Hayes and Fraboni making their 2022 debuts, KaVontae Turpin continues to be a playmaker in the Cowboys return game. Turpin
