Stars’ Offense Shines Bright
Philadelphia’s quarterback, Case Cookus, had an impressive showing, completing 18 of 30 pass attempts for 235 yards and throwing for two touchdowns. Cookus, however, did throw one interception, an area for him to improve in the upcoming matches.
In the ground game, Matt Colburn II stood out for the Stars, rushing for 82 yards on 20 attempts and adding two touchdowns to his name. His longest run for the night was a 22-yard dash.
At receiver, Corey Coleman and Devin Gray each hauled in 4 passes. Coleman added a touchdown and accumulated 75 yards, with his longest reception being 56 yards. Gray matched Coleman’s total yardage, also reaching 75 yards, though he didn’t manage to find the end zone.
Philadelphia kicker Luis Aguilar had a great day, contributing significantly to the Stars’ total with his foot, converting two field goals from 30-39 yards, one from 40-49 yards, and making all four of his extra point attempts.
Pittsburgh Maulers Fall Short at Home
