49ers Add All-USFL DL and Sack Leader Breeland Speaks

It finally happened. After an outstanding performance in the USFL and several NFL workouts Breeland Speaks finds himself back in the NFL. The former Ole Miss alum and NFL second round pick is signing with the 49ers joining Pittsburgh Maulers LB Kyahva Tezino.

Speaks was an instant upgrade for the Michigan Panthers pass rush, totaling 9 sacks, and 53 tackles while also serving as a mentor to the younger members of the Michigan Defense like Levi Bell. Speaks joins his 6th NFL team since coming out of Ole Miss.

Speaks is now the 6th Panther to join earn an NFL contract and the 25th USFL player to have their contract terminated. Currently the Panthers have 54 players with players like Frank Ginda, Josh Love, and Reggie Corbin all receiving NFL interest the 2024 Panthers, look to be primed for a reload enroute to another playoff season.
