Ring The Bell: Panthers Defensive Lineman Levi Bell Signs with Seattle

Hours after the Arizona Cardinals signed Kaden Davis, a second player was signed by an NFL team from the Michigan Panthers. Levi Bell the Panthers 6th round pick in the 2023 USFL Draft is enroute to Seattle to his 2nd NFL team after a successful season with the USFL.

Bell was signed May 10th by the Panthers after spending several days with the Baltimore Ravens. The former Texas State All-American spent time at Louisiana Tech, Tyler Junior College, and the College of Idaho in his college. Upon conclusion of the 2023 NFL draft Bell had his pick of NFL teams when given the opportunity to become a UDFA. Bell ended up signing with the Balitmore Ravens. Per his agency, Bell could be splitting time between Defensive Line and Fullback.

Under the leadership of Breeland Speaks and Frank Ginda Bell blossomed into a formidable EDGE rusher for Michigan. Bell totaled 17 Tackles and 4.0 Sacks in his first season as pro, and now has a chance to contribute in Seattle for his 2nd NFL opportunity.

Bell becomes the 9th USFL player to earn an NFL contract in the 2023 offseason. With Panthers seeing Kaden Davis also transition to the NFL, currently the Panthers roster sits at 57 players. With Bell being considered by many in the scouting community as having high upside potential look the former Panther to be an instant contributor to Seattle due to his versatility to utilized in multiple facets of the game.

    Great draft pick by Panthers. His motor never stops. I hope this guy makes it.

      Bell was a “rental” to me. It felt like he’d be in the NFL at some point and just needed to produce some more film to ensure some of the concerns regarding his height. Reminds me of Patrick Ricard and Elvis Dumervil.
