DPOY Frank Ginda Rejoins Falcons on Practice Squad

It’s been quite a journey for Frank Ginda since he left San Jose State in 2018. Ginda has had a journey in a half since beginning his pro career spending time with Seven pro teams over Four professional Leagues. The 26-year-old California native finally looked to crack the Falcons roster this past summer after Two spectacular years in the USFL, however found his way on waivers once more come cut down time. However, on November 28th Ginda finally got the call he was waiting for earning a Practice Squad contract with the Atlanta Falcons for the first time in his career.

It’s said that good things come to those that wait, and Ginda has been waiting. The Panthers Linebacker has earned a plethora of awards of 2023 being name USFL Defensive Player of the Week Four times, earning an All-USFL selection, enroute to earning the USFL’s Defensive Player of the Year honors. Over the past Two seasons Ginda tallied up 194 Tackles, 13.5 TFLs, 2.0 Sacks and 3 Interceptions.

With Ginda now enroute to Atlanta, the Panthers roster now sits at 49 with USFL-XFL merger talks still ongoing. Currently Michigan rosters Noah Dawkins, Paddy Fisher, Leon Jacobs (did not report in 2023), DaShaun White (2023 Draft Pick), and Javin White (newly signed). While Ginda may still return in 2024 it is quite possible Michigan does Re-Sign Terry Myrick or Santrell Latham to join the team in the immediate future. Regardless, while many will rejoice to see Ginda achieve his NFL dream many will wonder what’s the plan at Linebacker moving forward.
