Maulers Reach New Heights in 23-7 Win Over Panthers

The Pittsburgh Maulers have arrived ladies and gentlemen! Maybe they should move to Ford Field full-time after their second win of the season comes at the same spot their first did. Two weeks after getting in the win column versus the Stars, the Maulers go again and pick up a win in Detroit over the Panthers!

Troy Williams put together one hell of an outing, passing for 184 yards and two touchdowns. As well as getting it done on the ground, leading the team with 89 yards and a rushing touchdown as well. If there were any doubts about #11, they were put to bed on Ford Field Saturday afternoon.

The Pittsburgh defense was again, phenomenal. They forced two fumbles and two interceptions from corner Mark Gilbert and safety Arnold Tarpley III. When this unit is clicking, they’re an immovable object. Giving nothing to the Michigan offense and making their lives hell every time they took a snap. Sacking Michigan signal callers a total of four times on the day. Two of which came from the efforts of defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr.

The Maulers improve to 2-3 and are right back into the thick of the USFL. They’ll look to continue their momentum and build off of this season-altering victory next week when the Memphis Showboats host them at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee!
