New Jersey Generals – Struggling to Find Rhythm

Offense

The Generals’ offense couldn’t find their groove. Quarterback De’Andre Johnson struggled, completing 12 of 27 passes for 137 yards, with two interceptions. He was, however, effective on the ground, rushing for 68 yards on 12 attempts.

Running back Darius Victor contributed with nine rushes for 48 yards, while Kingston Davis added 5 yards on the ground and 42 yards receiving.

Wide receiver Warren Newman had a notable play, making a 31-yard reception. However, the offense couldn’t capitalize on these moments to put points on the board.

Kicker Nick Sciba managed to put up two field goals, accounting for all the points scored by the Generals.

Defense

The Generals’ defense, despite their best efforts, couldn’t contain the Maulers’ offense. Kyahva Tezino at middle linebacker and Vaughn Taylor Jr. at defensive end led the team with five and four tackles respectively. Boogie Roberts and Nasir Player each recorded a sack, but the defense could not force any turnovers.

Up Next

With this victory, the Maulers have punched their USFL ticket to stay in Canton for the North Division Championship. They will face their next opponent on Saturday, June 24, at 8 pm ET, broadcasted live on NBC. The Generals will look to regroup and come back stronger in their next season.
