Panther Sign 2023 Draft Pick Levi Bell, 2nd Draft Pick to Join Team

It’s been a busy week for the Michigan Panthers with Coach Nolan finetuning their roster in preparation for week 5. After signing Kaden Davis and Kai Nucua, the Panthers made an additional roster move to replace the injured Ron’Dell Carter. The Panthers will be signing their 2023 6th Round Pick Levi Bell, joining Santrell Latham as the first Two Panthers draft picks to join the squad this season.

Bell earned multiple awards in college, including being named to the 3rd-Team All-American team in 2022. The versatile EDGE Lineman, came to Texas State in 2022 after spending time in Louisiana Tech, Tyler Junior College, and the College of Idaho. Upon conclusion of the 2023 NFL draft Bell had his pick of NFL teams when given the opportunity to become a UDFA. Bell ended up signing with the Balitmore Ravens. Per his agency, Bell could be splitting time between Defensive Line and Fullback. He was released May 8th by the Ravens in favor Jaquan Amos.

Currently Bell, will begin his USFL career on the inactive roster. With the Panthers most likely looking to give Jamal Milan an opportunity to, Bell’s number could be called quicker than expected especially with the Panthers dealing with some bumps and bruises on the Defensive side of the ball. Regardless, the addition of Bell, allows a fringe NFL player to now utilize his opportunity in the USFL, to hopefully further his career and give Michigan a much-needed spark on Defense.
