Panthers Re-Sign Offensive Tackle Keith Williams for 2024 Season

Several days after the Panthers “inked” Gunnar Oakes their 2023 7th Round Draft pick, GM Steve Kazor and HC Mike Nolan continued strengthening their roster by retaining a key component from their 2022 and 2023 season. The Panthers announced this Friday that Keith Williams the teams 2022 5th Round Draft pick is coming back for 2024, making him the first Panther to officially join the team for season 3 of the USFL.

Williams joined the USFL in 2022 after coming out of Colorado State and Independence Community College. Williams gained notoriety from appearing in “Last Chance U”, with the polarizing Head Coach Jason Brown. Despite being eligible for the 2022 NFL Draft Williams joined the Panthers, becoming a stabilizing force on the Offensive Line for Michigan over the past Two seasons. In 2023 Williams appeared in 10 regular season games for Michigan starting 8 of them.

The Panthers roster sits 59 currently as the USFL off-season begins. With NFL teams continuing to look to the USFL for high level talent look for the Panthers like all USFL teams to remain extremely active during the off-season. With Michigan on the cusp of appearing in the USFL championship the Panthers are primed to continue retooling their roster in hopes of delivering a championship to the Motor City.
