Pittsburgh Maulers Sure Up Trenches With Two Additions

The Pittsburgh Maulers made two additions to the team Thursday morning. After a batch of releases on Monday which included four players walking out the door, the Maulers wasted no time plugging the holes.

The first of the two signings is offensive tackle Dominic Logan Jr. Who played collegiately at both Morgan State and Oklahoma State. He has experience across the football world, playing in five different leagues in his young career.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Maulers added pass rusher Vaughn Taylor Jr. Taylor played college ball at Morehead State and Kansas. During his tenure at Morehead State, Taylor racked up 21.5 sacks and 56 tackles for loss. In his senior year, he was named a Unanimous member of the All-PFL First Team, and PFL Defensive Player of the Year. In November of 2022, he was signed to the New Albany Empire of the National Arena League, but now he suits up for the purple and orange as he takes his talents to Pittsburgh.

The Maulers finished last year 1-9, at the bottom of the USFL. With any luck, these two will come in and contribute to the cause and turn this ship around, and hit the gridiron with a positive first step.
