Showboats Sign 2023 10th Round Draft Pick Antonio Fletcher

The Memphis Showboats made a splash with their first transaction of the Off-Season. The USFL‘s most recent franchise made a nice addition to the secondary late Tuesday night signing one of their draft picks from their 2023 College Draft Class. The Showboats sought to strengthen their secondary by bringing in their 10th Round Draft Pick Antonio Fletcher of out Southern Illinois, as the 2023 NFL UDFA looks to make his professional debut for Memphis in 2024.

Fletcher comes to the Showboats after spending Five seasons in college between Arkansas and Southern Illinois University (FCS) from 2018 to 2022. The Georgia native recorded 176 tackles, 2 INTs, and 5 Tackles for loss while in college. A hard worker with a tenacious nose for the football, Fletcher looks to supplement an already impressive secondary under Defensive Coordinator Carnell Lake.

With the addition of Fletcher the Showboats roster now sits at 61 in the early stages of the off-season. Currently, no Memphis player has been signed to an NFL contract despite Four players earning post-season honors from the team’s 2023 season. Fletcher joins a talented secondary that includes Quenton Meeks, Kyree Woods, and T.J. Green as Memphis tries to get over the hump and make the playoffs in 2024.
