Stallions Signee Carlos Davis Joins Atlanta Falcons Practice Squad

The Davis family is going to be missing a member at Christmas dinner this year. After seeing the success of his brother Khalil, Carlos Davis took the plunge into spring football joining the Birmingham Stallions for the 2024 season. While it may be a possibility, Carlos will take a quick detour for the next three weeks as the Atlanta Falcons opted to sign the Defensive Lineman Thursday morning.

Davis becomes the 2nd Stallion to depart from the team before playing for their USFL team. Earlier in December TE Chris Pierce signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers after the team released TE Thad Moss. Davis was recently with the Falcons during training camp in August but was released during final cuts. Coming out of Nebraska in 2020, Davis spent Three season with the Steelers appearing in 12 games totaling 12 tackles and 1.0 sack.

Currently the Stallions roster sits at 58 players with the USFL’s required Dispersal Draft on December 27th. While the Stallions are now forced to “shrink” their roster to 42 players, GM Zach Potter should have no issue fine tuning the roster in attempt for 3rd consecutive championship. Since the return of the USFL in 2022 Birmingham has went 21-3 winning back-to-back championships under head coach Skip Holtz.
