USFL: New Jersey Generals Release 2023 Regular Season Schedule

The USFL unveiled its 2023 Season Schedule for all eight of their teams on Tuesday, and ticket info for all games.

The New Jersey Generals 2023 regular season schedule looks much different than its 2022 predecessor. With the exception of week one, where New Jersey will once again open their season in Birmingham against the defending champion Stallions on Saturday, April 15th, at 7:30 pm ET.

New Look Schedule For The 2023 Generals

New Jersey will play only one game this year in Birmingham.

Unlike last season, The Generals have road trips on their docket. They will square off with the Michigan Panthers and Philadelphia Stars in their new digs at Ford Field. As well as visits to meet the Showboats in Memphis. As the USFL adds three new regular season playing locations in season 2.

The Generals will now play their designated home games in a new hub in Canton, Ohio, sharing the location with the newly christened black and gold Pittsburgh Maulers. Technically New Jersey’s first stand alone home game in Canton won’t arrive until Week 4, on May 7th against the New Orleans Breakers.

New Jersey has a backloaded schedule in Canton. They will close the season with four straight games at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

The Generals hope to finish the 2023 season in the exact location they did last year. As Canton will play host for the North Final and championship game again. Except for this time, the desired result for Mike Riley’s troops is hoisting a USFL championship trophy rather than a playoff loss at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

In January, the USFL announced that Northern Division rivals, the Maulers and Generals, would face off in Canton’s first 2023 regular season game in Week Two on Sunday, April 23.

The Generals will close their 2023 regular season campaign in Canton on Saturday, June 17th, as the home team in Canton against the Pittsburgh Maulers.

New Jersey Generals Release 2023 USFL Regular Season Schedule

The USFL has informed me that their television schedule for the 2023 season will be announced “in the days ahead.”

The defending North Division champions, coached by Mike Riley, open the season on Saturday night April 15 at the Birmingham Stallions at Protective Stadium. You have to figure that game will be on FOX or NBC to kick off season 2 of the USFL.
