The Memphis Showboats have unveiled their new uniforms for the 2023 USFL season, as they prepare to debut their fresh colors and branding in April.
The Showboats uniforms feature a distinctive color palette of white, navy blue, and a subtle light gold. These colors represent a significant departure from the team’s 1980s look, which primarily consisted of red and white.
The design takes inspiration from the contemporary Pittsburgh Maulers, particularly in the shoulder block area, which is almost identical. The jerseys offer a solid, visually appealing look that will be sported by the team during the 2023 USFL season.
As the Memphis Showboats gear up for their first year, a lot has changed since they were Tampa Bay Bandits in 2022. The Showboats now play in one of three new USFL hubs coming in the 2023 season in Memphis. So they will practice and play home games in their home city.
With HC Todd Haley at the helm, the team is now set for their inaugural season in the USFL. The Bandits recorded a 4-6 performance in 2022, failing to secure a postseason spot, so Memphis aims to surpass that in 2023.
The USFL’s second season will kick off on April 15th, at 4:30 pm ET, featuring the Memphis Showboats as they host the Philadelphia Stars.
