In Week 5 of the USFL’s season, the Pittsburgh Maulers (0-4) take on the Houston Gamblers (1-3) Sunday, May 15th at 4:00 pm ET on Fox.
This is the last stand for the Maulers to save their season. They are the only team to not win a game this season. The Gamblers are a team ready to break through and have lost several close games this season. This is a must win matchup for both teams if they want to have an outside shot to make the USFL playoffs.

Sunday’s forecast at Protective Stadium is partial cloudy throughout the day. High of 87 degrees with winds up to 6 mph.

Players To Watch
For the Maulers, QB Kyle Lauletta is now the man in Pittsburgh. The team released QB Josh Love this week and signed former James Madison QB Vad Lee from. Lauletta loves to throw to wide receiver Tre Walker. He targeted Walker 17 times last week. Keep an eye on these two to spark the Maulers air game.
On the Gamblers, RB Mark Thompson has been one of the most exciting running backs in the USFL. He is second in the league in rushing with 320 yards. QB Clayton Thorson has been up and down this season. Could this be the game where he breaks out.

Pittsburgh Maulers – Houston Gamblers Prediction
I expect the Houston Gamblers to come away with a win on Sunday. Pittsburgh has been the worst team in the league all season. I don’t think that will change. The offensive play calling by Kirby Wilson has been bad.
The Gamblers have been so close to being a 500 team, with a solid running game and defense I expect the Houston to say in the playoff hunt with a win this weekend
Prediction: Pittsburgh Maulers: 9 – Houston Gamblers: 21
