Panthers Re-Sign DPOY Frank Ginda Hours Before USFL Free Agency

Panthers fans can rest a bit easier this week as the heart and soul of their defense is returning for 2024. After spending training camp with the Atlanta Falcons, Ginda returns to the USFL for his 3rd season with the Panthers. The signing comes hours before the USFL announced that free agency is set to begin October 1st.

Ginda returns to Michigan after earning DPOY Honors along with an All-USFL selection. In addition to his post season accolades Ginda earned Defensive Player of the Week honors four times, during the Panthers playoff run. A veteran now of Six Professional Seasons and Four Professional Leagues, Ginda looks to lead the Panthers Defense to a championship for 2024.

Currently the Panthers have 54 players on their roster per the FOX Sports website. With free agency in full force and a merger with the XFL looming, it appears that it’s business as usual for both leagues until more info comes forward. Last season the Panthers amassed a record of 4-6, enroute to a playoff appearance, with Ginda set to be their defensive leader, look the Panthers to put the USFL or NSFL on notice for 2024 as well.
